I was aware that refurbished meant there would be wear and tear showing, as the machine I ordered was an older model. However, what I received was an almost brand new looking machine. High quality product and exceptional value for money.

I have even purchased refurbished machines when machines have got a little too old and I could not fault them. Highly recommend both his repairs and refurbished machines.

Couples, apartments and small offices that want current-generation espresso quality in a narrow body.

For the newest compact with a colour screen and flat white, see the ENA 8; for capacity, the E8.

Our refurbishment notes

Every machine goes across the bench and gets the same work before it is listed.

Replaced as standard. The brew unit is replaced. Every seal and O-ring in the machine is renewed, pump seals included. The steam assembly is completely refitted with all of its seals replaced.

Pressure tested, and replaced if it fails. The pumps are resealed and pressure tested, and replaced if they are not performing — either way the machine leaves here pumping properly. The ceramic valve is pressure tested and replaced if it does not hold. Every sensor is checked for correct resistance and replaced if the reading is out. The grinder is recalibrated and its brushes renewed, and if extraction still is not where it should be, the grinder itself is replaced.

Stripped and cleaned. Boilers are descaled and flushed. The water circuit and flow control are stripped and cleared of any debris. The whole system is flushed through, and the machine is cleaned and vacuumed out inside and out.

Then it is run and tested with real coffee before we sign it off.

One honest note about that: you may find a few coffee grounds in the machine when it arrives. A little always stays in the hopper channel through testing and transport. It is not a sign the machine was not cleaned — it is a sign it was tested.

Cosmetic condition. These are used machines and some of them look it. Expect scuffs, light scratches and general wear on the casing, panel and drip tray. Before your machine ships we photograph the actual unit you are buying, marks and all, and send you a short video of it running. What you see is what arrives.

Each machine is stripped, descaled and serviced, worn parts are replaced, and it is tested with real coffee by our technicians before it is certified and warranted. It is still a used machine, so expect some cosmetic wear. We photograph your actual unit, marks and all, and send you the photos before it ships.

Every refurbished machine includes our 12-month warranty covering parts and labour, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

$50 insured, signature-on-delivery freight to metro and most regional addresses ($150 for the Z10, GIGA range and XJ9), 2–5 business days metro, 5–10 regional — or free pickup from our Point Cook workshop. Remote and far-regional areas (parts of WA, NT, far-north QLD, Tasmania) can cost more; if that applies to you we'll contact you with the difference before dispatch and you can cancel for a full refund.

Yes on machines up to $2,000 — Afterpay or PayPal Pay in 4 at checkout, subject to your approved limit. Above $2,000, pay by card, PayPal or bank transfer / PayID, or call us on 0431 852 898 to talk it through.

14 days from delivery, unused and in original packaging. Return freight is at your cost, the original delivery charge isn't refunded, and a restocking fee of up to 15% may apply. Each machine is run with real coffee before sign-off. It is still a used machine, so expect some cosmetic wear: we send photos and a short video of your actual unit before it ships.

The internals we rebuild: brew unit, pumps, boiler, ceramic valve, sensors, grinder, seals and the water circuit, for 12 months. It does not cover the external milk frother, drip tray, water tank or covers, or faults caused by the machine not being cleaned or descaled. On an accepted claim we cover reasonable freight both ways. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of the warranty.
